My name is David Shlora, and I’m a junior at Northview in Mrs. Breaux’s class. I’ve struggled in her class all year long, failing to get through papers one after another, yet Mrs. Breuax has maintained her patience each time and given me the privilege of second chances, including with this very assignment. It’s been a rush attempting to finish this when I once assumed there was no hope – I just hope now that it’s enough.

The assignment was to thoroughly research a specific aspect of an author of your choice. I chose the modernist writer F. Scott Fitzgerald and how his outrageous lifestyle affected his writing because I wasn’t very familiar with any of the other authors on the list save for a couple, and because I enjoyed reading The Great Gatsby more than much of the other material we covered.
